KAR Pet Travel were recently involved in preparing/advising Lena and dog Dot to travel to Sweden.
During the course of our checks a mistake on the Rabies Serology Test was discovered. We were running a tight timescale to try and get matters resolved as the owners had already booked the flights. It took lots of phone calls/emails between KAR Pet Travel, the testing laboratory and the Swedish Authorities to try and resolve the mistake. Specific permission needed to be obtained, from the Swedish Government Ministry before the testing lab would be able to issue a new test certificate showing the correct information. Without that correct certificate Dot would not be able to travel. It was a very fraught time for Lena and Dot.
What helped things move more quickly than usual (thankfully) was KAR Pet Travel’s working relationship and professional links with the various authorities and individuals in various Countries. We went direct to the top and were met with almost instant responses (much to Lena’s surprise !!).
Happily we managed to get the permission needed and couriered the information and documents over to the testing lab who then issued a new certificate to KAR Pet Travel.
If the mistake had not been noticed here and rectified before Dot traveled then Dot would have gone to quarantine on arrival in Sweden.Thankfully Dot, Lena and the new paperwork all arrived safely and happily in Sweden.
