Recipe for cookies for Xmas Bazaar
Ingredients:
150g of soft buttter
150g of granulated sugar
1 Egg – beaten
2 tsp. of vanilla flavouring
225g of SR flour
½ tsp. Of baking powder (optipnal)
Method:
Cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg slowly.
Add flavouring
Stir in flour and dried flavouring ingredients.
Cook at 160c or Gas No5. For 20 minute or golden brown.
Makes 24 biscuits. Only put 12 biscuits on a tray.
Options:
150g of chocolate chips
Grated Lemon Zest and tsp. of lemon juice instead of vanilla
flavouring and 50g of chopped cranberries
2tsp. of strong coffee and 50g of walnuts
TIps:
You should use all basic ingredients. Do not be tempted to use less
flour. The biscuits dough should be firm NOT runny.
Do not worry if eggs curdle the sugar and butter mixture. It will be
alright in the end.
The biscuits will spread slightly when cooking and should be soft
when taken out of the oven.
