CENTRE VOLUNTEERS – DOG AND CAT GROOMING
Please let me introduce you to Michael Robinson. Michael volunteers at the rescue centre, as and when he can, as a dog groomer. With over 300 animals awaiting his attention he has plenty of customers all queuing up for his services. One of our other volunteers, Julie, regularly grooms our cats and with the change of season fast approaching both Michael and Julie will be kept very busy. Fancy giving them a helping hand? Doesn’t matter if you’ve zero experience grooming animals. There’s always a dog to bathe, or a cat to cuddle (erm…. I mean brush). Social interaction is very important to all our animals at the centre and is part of the care we give to them all.
We are always looking for volunteers at the centre, not just people to groom the animals. We have volunteers who regularly take dogs for a walk (when it’s not too hot) and try their best to get them used to walking nicely on a lead. We have volunteers who meet and greet visitors to the centre and show them around telling them about the centre and the animals. We have volunteers who help with the daily needs of the animals, with feeding them and keeping their enclosures clean. Maybe you have a different skill that may help us enrich the lives of our animals? Please call in at our rescue centre and discuss with our manager what you have to offer. I’m sure you’ll be welcomed with open arms. The centre is open 7 days a week from 9am to 1pm and can be found up the mountain road above Arapkoy (turn off left at the huge white Carringtons sign).
Look forward to welcoming you to our team!
