We love all of our dogs and cats at the center but sometimes we can’t help but have a favourite. A special favourite for quite a few people is Drew. A big handsome, calm and very gentle dog who loves nothing more than being with people and being fussed.
A few months ago we had some visitors (Cassie and George) up at the center and they too fell in love with Drew. After much discussions and planning (including moving to a new house that would be better for a big dog !) they adopted Drew and preparations began to get him ready to travel to his new home …….in Canada.
On Sunday of this week Elaine and the KAR Pet Travel met at Ercan early in the morning to check Drew in and wave him Goodbye. He had a long journey ahead but we knew that it would all be worth it.
We have heard from Cassie, George and Drew and he arrived safe and sound and is now settling into his new home and family well and he has a new name – Caleb.
But to his KAR family he will always be Drew dearest Drew
– although you are missed everyone at KAR is so happy for you.
